Scapegoating continues to be a foundational dynamic in human interactions. In this workshop on the eve of Passion Week we look at how the Passion Narrative for the first time in human history definitively revealed this mechanism to us in all its detail. In this participative and experiential workshop, in addition to a short input on Rene Girard, participants will be given an opportunity to explore their own experience of the topic. Using the work of Rene Girard to guide us we will look at the origin of the Scapegoat Mechanism, how scapegoating affects human interactions and the challenge of moving beyond scapegoating.

Reflections for Lent: God’s Dream for People with Partners In Faith

Looking at the experience of Moses and the Prophets we see how God’s dream for his people is realised. Then reflecting critically on our society we explore who the prophets are today and how they can help us to transform our communities in line with this dream. We will also have the opportunity during these sessions to create some prophetic songs and poems for today.

Cost: €5.00 per session  | Booking essential
